"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify and vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as crazy, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do." - This rare version is narrated by Steve Jobs.

This award-winning commercial and ad campaign was what brought Apple back from near bankrupcy in 1997. Steve Jobs had just made his triumphant return to run the company and worked with Lee Cow's creative team at Chiat/Day to develop the "Thing Different" idea. The commercial debuted on September 28, 1997 to glowing reviews. The advertising campaign completely violated the industry norm to only advertise in computing magazines. Full page ads were taken out in popular magazines and hundreds of billboard spaces were rented in LA and NYC. The public loved the creative, crazy genius message. Apple's brand was saved and the rest is history.

In 2012, Apple is the most valuable corporation in the world with a market cap over $500 billion. Just a few months before Steve died in September 2011, Apple's stock value surpassed the #1 Fortune 500 leader, Exxon, for the very first time. What a great achievement and testimony to Steve and the simple mantra that has made the world a better place: Think Different!
